Georgia Local Primary Election Results - May 21, 2024

On Tuesday May 21, voters will head to the polls to cast ballots in the 2024 Georgia Local Primary Elections.

Voters will be deciding which Democratic and Republican candidates will appear on the November 2024 ballot in local races for sheriff in Houston County, Bibb County and others in Central Georgia. While some races will be decided on Tuesday night including the Macon-Bibb Mayor’s race. 

In Bibb County, voters will decide between incumbent Mayor Lester Miller and Shekita Maxwell. In the Bibb Sheriff’s race, incumbent David Davis has three challengers including Chris Paul, Chris Patterson and Deandre Hall. 

In Houston County, Arthur Harris will represent the Democrats in the sheriff’s race in November. On the Republican side, Matt Moulton, Jimmy Dunn, Slate Simons and William Kendall will look to get on the November ticket.
